Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by songs about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
